We like to do things differently

Jordan McHenry

My name is Jordan I played for Ottawa City for many of my youth competitive years. I began playing with OCSC from U13 and through to the women’s competitive level. I have made lifelong friendships, met amazing coaches and mentors who have helped me become a coach, been apart of memorable and successful teams and grown skills on and off the field.

I am now a second year player with the Algonquin College Women’s soccer team. In my first year, I was the OCAA rookie of the year, league scoring champion and named first team all star. My time with the Ottawa City has been valuable and has helped bring me to where I am today.

I am lucky to have been a part of Ottawa City Soccer Club since 2016 and offer much credit to the club’s staff and coaches for helping me achieve my dream of being able to play soccer in Europe.  From the support they provided for my development in youth, to finishing second in MC1 last summer.  OCSC and their staff have continuously contributed to my wellbeing in this sport, and for that I will always be grateful

Charlotte Baines

Thanks so much for taking her under your wing last year and encouraging her to keep playing soccer during such a crazy year!!  Ottawa City soccer will always hold a special place in our hearts and we really appreciated your time spent with Charlotte!

Mea Paoletti

Growing up playing soccer with the Ottawa City gave me my first soccer experiences and some of my favourite childhood memories. The girls were my best friends, and I loved being with the team. Whether it was pouring rain or early morning, I would be counting down the minutes until I could go to soccer. I remember the night before my first “Kicking in the Capital” tournament, I wore my lucky game shorts to bed so I couldn’t forget them, but I couldn’t sleep because I was so excited. That is still something that hasn’t changed – one of the lessons I learned then is to never stop having fun at soccer. Shout out to all the parents and coaches (including my Dad one year) – thank you for volunteering your time and encouraging and supporting us girls!

With 2 young boys in OCSC, I’m very happy with the overall program – coaching, development opportunities and their philosophy around building fundamental skills first, respecting others and fair play.

Ottawa City Soccer Club is exceptional. Coaching is top notch and the development programs they have implemented greatly benefited my two athletes. One competed at a competitive level in Northern Ireland this past summer.

Have two kids playing soccer in the club. One at the top competitive level and one in recreational. Emphasis is on player development. What we appreciate most: Supportive of multi-sport athletes, kept the kids involved with soccer
